I wanted to check out the hotel as it gets such great reviews. Our studio room was spacious but simple. The armchair was too big for the room and a bigger screen TV would be nice. The bathroom could do with some refurbishment. However for the price it is a great budget hotel with a nice common lounge and friendly staff. The location is excellent. The fruit shop and bakery downstairs and the supermarket next door is so convenient. Around the corner is a good Japanese restaurant. Further on is a big shopping mall and many restaurants around. - Hotel Eden54
All the amenities are new which is quite good. Located near the city center. Ample parking space (not sure during weekdays as it is located in the same location as Tabung Haji Office).

Set back in the more authentic part of the city this colonial gem had all the conveniences you could wish for. I stayed here for something different and was definitely old world and enjoyable.
Staff are extremely courteous, professional and helpful. Apparently it is popular with VIPs.
Very close to local eateries and authentic street life. The famed viewing platform up on the ridge is a short walk from the back door. - The Jesselton Hotel
Betty at reception is extremely helpful organizing tours. Breakfast staff are really friendly. Housekeeping staff are slack. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Usually just fresh towels and some toiletries. Have had to request even toilet paper on one occasion. This is a modern budget priced hotel so if you are mindful of this, you will enjoy your stay. Easy to get to the waterfront to numerous eateries. There is a free shuttle service for shopping etc and taxis into town are very cheap. We would stay again without hesitation. Book a suite and you will have a spacious room and bathroom. - Oceania Hotel.
